The Allen Men's Basketball Team lost on the road to Cloud County 89-96 on Wednesday night. The game saw 12 lead changes throughout the contest as teams traded the lead during the 40 minute contest. Allen was able to finish the first half strong, taking a 47-41 lead into the break.
The Red Devils were able to keep the lead early in the second half, and pushed the lead to 9 points with 11 minutes to play. From there Allen struggled to get defensive stops and Cloud made a strong comeback to take the lead for good. Allen kept fighting to the final buzzer, but could not get enough defensive stops to win the game.
Jah-Kobe Womack led the Red Devils in scoring for the 2nd straight game, scoring 21 points on 6-10 shooting from the floor. EJ Garnes continued his strong play scoring 18 points and dishing out 7 assists. Shon Sanders and Quentin Blaue also reached double figures scoring with 17 and 10 points respectively.
Allen will return home for a Saturday afternoon matchup with Pratt CC at 4:00 PM.
